Bar Torino ("we," "our," or "us") uses this website to provide restaurant information, reservations, online ordering links, wine pickup requests, private event inquiries, newsletters, chatbot assistance, and guest wine notes. Information We Collect

• Contact and request details: name, email, phone number, inquiry type, message, reservation or event details, party size, date, time, and related notes you submit.
• Wine pickup details: pickup contact information, requested bottles, pickup date and time, phone number, optional marketing choice, and date of birth used to check whether you are at least 21.
• Wine note verification: email address, public note text, author display name, moderation status, and CRM signals used to confirm whether the email belongs to a past guest.
• Newsletter details: email address, signup source, page, time, marketing consent status, and timezone used to format welcome emails.
• Chat and technical data: chat messages, session identifiers, browser and device data, IP-derived security signals, bot-protection verification signals, pages visited, and error or performance data.
• Local storage and cookies: cookie preferences, age-verification status, chat session identifiers after chat use, and theme choices. Analytics storage is used only after you allow analytics.

How We Use Information

• Respond to contact, private event, reservation, and wine pickup requests.
• Confirm age eligibility for alcohol pickup requests and support in-person ID checks.
• Send transactional emails, confirmations, staff notifications, and requested newsletter updates.
• Verify past guest status before accepting public wine notes.
• Moderate guest wine notes and protect the site from spam, abuse, security threats, and fraud.

Consent and Marketing

Newsletter signup requires an affirmative marketing consent checkbox. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe method in the email, the unsubscribe page, or by contacting us. Transactional emails about reservations, orders, pickup requests, private events, or account-related actions may still be sent when needed to complete your request.

Alcohol and Age Verification

Alcohol pickup requests are limited to guests who are at least 21 years old. We collect date of birth for online age checking and may refuse pickup unless a valid government-issued photo ID is presented in person. The site stores only an age-verified flag in the browser after a successful check, not the date of birth in local storage. CRM records are designed to store that the 21+ check passed, not the full date of birth.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate the website and restaurant workflows. These may include Toast for online ordering and menu data, Resy for reservations, Resend for email delivery, Supabase or the Auctus client portal for CRM and website data, Vercel for hosting and analytics when allowed, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot and abuse protection on forms, OpenAI for chatbot assistance, wine pairings, and wine note moderation, and map or social platforms when you use those links or embeds.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect rights and security, or complete a request you initiate.

Cookies and Similar Storage

Essential storage is used to keep the website working. Analytics are optional and load only after you allow them in the cookie banner or settings. You can change cookie choices on the Cookie Policy page.

AI Features

The website may use AI to answer chat questions, suggest wine pairings from current Bar Torino menu and wine data, and review public wine notes before staff review. AI output can be incomplete or mistaken, so availability, pricing, allergen, health, legal, and safety questions should be confirmed with staff before relying on them.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and alcohol-related features are not intended for anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Data Security and Retention

We use technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards such as rate limiting, input validation, origin checks on protected requests, least-needed access, hosted service security controls, and security headers. No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for restaurant operations, legal obligations, dispute prevention, security, and consent records.
